Via Dolorosa Prayer · Jerusalem
We print your prayer and carry it by hand along the Via Dolorosa, the Way of the Cross through the Old City of Jerusalem, then email you a dated photograph of your prayer on the route.
The Via Dolorosa ("Way of Sorrows") follows the route that tradition says Jesus walked carrying his cross to Calvary.
The route is marked by the fourteen Stations of the Cross, ending inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
Every Friday, pilgrims and friars walk the stations in prayer through the narrow streets of the Old City.
The Via Dolorosa winds through the Muslim and Christian Quarters of the Old City of Jerusalem. Its fourteen Stations of the Cross recall the final journey of Jesus, from his condemnation to his burial, and the last five stations are inside the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
For centuries, Christians have walked this route slowly, stopping at each station to pray. Many people around the world pray the Stations of the Cross at home or in their parish, especially during Lent, and dream of walking the original path.
Our service lets your prayer make that journey. We print your words on paper, carry them along the Via Dolorosa, and photograph your prayer on the route so you have a dated keepsake of its journey.
Submit your prayer online with any dedication. We print it on paper in Jerusalem.
